I ain’t Debbie & this ain’t Dallas

I am Jro and I doing Toronto, in an albeit different style than Debbie.
I am lapping up the socializing with my dear rockstar friends, many of whom I haven’t seen in years.
Axl is on the West Coast rockin’ out to the sound of his own beat.
While in “Torono” ( you gotta say it right ), I am crashing on Kubot’s gorgeous couch that pulls out to a fabulous bed (people in Vancouver actually pronounce the second ‘T’ - ToronTo - and I find it rather irritating).
This morning as Kubot went off to be a famous movie producer and I went on the hunt to get some caffeine, the weather was a balmy 11 degrees Celsius.
As we parted ways, I made some jack ass comment how I brought the lovely warm weather with me.
On my walk, I stopped in at the grocery store, and when I emerged I was smack dab in a rain shower.

See, I did bring the West Coast to the East Coast.
I kept on walking and got soaked, I was thrilled.
It’s a warm spell and I feel right at home.
You see, Axl & I are from the East Coast.
But, I despise cold weather.
I actually hate it so much that I packed up my life and moved to a place that experiences minimal snow and few days with freezing temperatures.

So I was dripping wet, and on the hunt for a cup of coffee.
I stumbled upon this Annex neighbourhood joint called Grapefruit Moon.
The review is on the way.

With three cups of coffee to fuel the day, I am now off to the LCBO
(the country’s best province-run liquor store) to get booze at the supply and demand price that only Ontario commands.
Seriously, bottles are a few bucks cheaper out here in the great white north.

Then its off to meet to the beautiful photographer, my dear friend from the West Coast.
She has trekked her equipment out here for two weeks to work alongside a hip hop photographer who is generating quite a buzz.

Cheers to Toronto. So far its warm and slushy, you really can’t ask for much more.
